Mark began his career in advertising at Hedger Mitchell Stark, before moving to Collett Dickenson Pearce.
In 1985 he joined Bartle Bogle Hegarty, where he worked as Account Manager on Whitbread, Liberty and Asda. In 1987 he moved into TV production as a Senior Producer at Smith Jones Brown and Cassie. In 1993 he returned to BBH as Head of TV Production.
For the next three years, he oversaw the production of commercials for the likes of Levi's, Audi and Boddingtons. During his tenure, BBH was Agency of the Year two years running at the British Television Advertising Awards.
In 1996 Mark became Head of Agency Production, responsible for all of the agency's output, including new media. In 1997 he was made Assistant Managing Director and, in 1998, he was promoted to Joint Managing Director of BBH London.
In 2000 he left BBH to found Dare.
